Standing Up for Agriculture

Kody has long understood the importance of the agricultural industry has to the communities of Kings-Hants. Living in East Hants, where approximately 1/3 of Nova Scotia’s dairy farms are located, coupled with his experience living on a dairy farm in Linden, Nova Scotia while playing Jr. A hockey in Amherst, he has an appreciation for the benefits supply managed sectors bring to rural economies.

While much of Kody’s advocacy has been focused on articulating the benefits of supply management within the dairy industry, he recognizes the crucial role agriculture has in Kings County, which is the “bread basket” of the province. Whether it is Nova Scotia’s growing wine industry, the apple orchards, the poultry sector, beef and crop farmers, Kody has supported and will continue to work in the interests of the agricultural industry in Kings-Hants.
